Infrastructure
The Economics Department has five classrooms fitted with multi-media projection systems in all of them. One of the rooms (Room No 26) has been renovated with a generous grant provided by an alumnus. The room has been renamed Dipak Banerjee Memorial Room, in honour of the legendary teacher.
In addition, the basic computer laboratory established with a grant from FIST and assistance under the MPLAD scheme from Dr. Bimal Jalan, was renovated by the University in 2015 to form a 40-seater laboratory with Wi-Fi connectivity. A Research Scholar’s room, fitted with computers and projection facilities has also been set up.
The entire Department has Wi-Fi connectivity. An electronic Notice Board has also been set up by the University to provide regular information to students.
