• Setting up of School of Data Science and Public Policy:- The University has taken up initiative to establish an interdisciplinary school of Data Science and Public Policy which will focus on data science, artificial intelligence and public policy. It will also contribute in the field of bioinformatics and its application to healthcare research and drug development.
• Setting up of Research and Consultancy Centre: The University plans to set-up a Research and Consultancy Centre shortly to deliver administrative and managerial support for functioning of in-house and sponsored research, consultancy and other R&D activities of Presidency University. The Centre will, act as a special purpose vehicle to promote researchers and innovators of the University, identify potential collaborators from the industry, research organizations, academic institutions for a collaborative association.
• Setting up of Institute of Integrated Skill Education: The University plans to establish an Institute of Integrated Skill Education at its upcoming 3 ^rd campus at Kurseong, Darjeeling Dist. after the establishment is handed over to the University by the state govt.
• UG program in Biotechnology: With the view to enrich the existing academic degree programs offered by the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) /Presidency University viz M.Sc. in Biotechnology, M.Sc. in Virology and Immunology and M.Sc. in Molecular Microbiology the University plans to introduce undergraduate program in Biotechnology to be offered by IHS.
• Digital Mentoring App: - To widen the horizon of employment, the University is planning to launch Digital Mentoring App which will be designed to cater to students across disciplines with tools and resources they need to thrive in the competitive market. The app will include extensive library of reference videos –from publicly available content, enable students to explore diverse career opportunities and know about different job opportunities.
