Sealed tenders are invited on behalf of the Registrar, Presidency University, 86/1, College Street, Kolkata in the prescribed form from reputed, bonafide and resourceful contractors for proposed toilets at ground, mezzanine and first floor at Physics lab in Baker Building at Presidency University, 86/1, College Street, Kolkata.

Earnest money will be accepted in the form of Bank Draft drawn in the favour of Presidency University payable at Kolkata. No interest will be paid in this amount of earnest money deposited by the tenderer.

Tender papers and other details will be available at the office the Finance Officer, Presidency University, 86/1 College Street, Kolkata – 700 073 from 30-12-2013 to 13-01-2014 between 10.30 AM and 5 PM. on payment of Rs. 5,000/- by Demand Draft in favour of Presidency University payable at Kolkata on all working days except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Pre-bid discussion will be held at the office of the architect M/s. Partha Das & Associates, AE- 377, Salt Lake city, Kolkata on 10-01-2014 from 11AM to 3PM for clarification, if any, required for quoting the price by the tenderers.

Tender in duplicate, will have to be submitted in two parts: Cover-I & Cover-II separately sealed and superscribed with the name of work. Cover-I shall contain Earnest Money, covering letter and conditions, if any, stipulated by the tenderer.

Cover-II shall contain the complete tender document duly filled and signed with stamp in all pages in duplicate. No condition stipulated in Cover-II other than general rebates shall be accepted.

Tenders in Cover-I & Cover-II shall again be put in a separate sealed cover. This will be received up to 3-00 PM on 15-01-2014. Cover-I will be opened on 15-01-2014 at 3-30 PM in the office of the Registrar, Presidency University, 86/1, College Street, Kolkata on the same date in presence of the contractors or their authorized representatives who may like to be present. Time and date of opening of Cover-II of tender will be intimated thereafter. The University reserves the right to reject any or all of the tenders received without assigning any reason thereof.

The University retains right to cancel any of the items at a later date after the contract is awarded
