About-
.I have been teaching Sociology in Presidency University since 2018. My broad area of interest is gender. My doctoral research was on women entrepreneurship where I explored the aspiration building and identity formation among Muslim women of Kolkata. The study not only brings forth the challenges faced by these women as entrepreneurs but also the complexities in identity formation where their professional life intersects with their gender roles, religious beliefs, class, etc
I have been teaching the courses on Gender as well as Kinship at both UG and PG levels. I also teach the Qualitative Research Methods paper to UG students. I have supervised several dissertations of UG and PG students on diverse topics falling within the realm of gender and sexuality, kinship studies, medical sociology and religion.
Apart from teaching, I have been engaged in mentoring students and administrative responsibility like GE and Minor course Co-ordination.
