Course Objective:

The course makes the students familiar with the basics of the Sanskrit language and enables them to understand the importance of Sanskrit language and literature. The knowledge of this language will help them explore Sanskrit sources of historical importance. The course also develops among the students interest in Sanskrit language to pursue career options and opportunities in the field of translation. After completing this course, students will be able to understand the importance of learning this language for the study of and research on Sanskrit texts and to seek career options in the field of translation and language studies.

• Alphabets and Formation of Words
• Basic Grammar and Translation
• Conversation and Composition
