Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for the following positions in a Indian Council for Social Science Research sponsored minor project entitled ‘Empowerment, Education and Welfare: Exploring the consequences of Conditional Cash Transfer Programmes in India’ (Ref: F.No.02/38/2022-23/ICSSR/RP/MN/GEN). The Principal Investigator is Dr. Zaad Mahmood, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science, Presidency University, 86/1 College Street, Kolkata 700073.

Research Associate

Tenure

5 Month Part Time (14 days in a month)

Salary

Rs 10000 per month (consolidated)

Essential Qualification

Post graduate in social science (55% minimum) with NET /M.Phil. / Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification

Research Experience in School Education/Education in West Bengal

Experience of designing survey and conducting fieldwork in West Bengal

Research Assistant

Tenure

10 Month Full Time

Salary

Rs 16000 per month (consolidated)

Essential Qualification

Ph.D./M.Phil./ Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55%

Desirable Qualification

Research experience in social sciences

Familiarity with DISE and NFHS dataset and ability to handle the data

Good Oral and Written Communication in English

Familiarity with the literature on Education/Conditional Cash transfer

Field Investigator

Tenure

3 Month Full Time

Salary

Rs 15000 per month (consolidated)

Essential Qualification

Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55%

Desirable Qualification

Good Oral and Written Communication in English

Knowledge and Fluency in Bangla
